Habitat(s): N/A

Festa is a wandering entity, known to seek out company. It tends to be found in levels resembling forests, parks, and populated areas1.

Overview:

Entity 109, also known as Festa, is a tall balloon-like entity wearing clothes resembling that of a party clown. They are known to go several weeks without any sightings. It is advised not to approach Festa without a sharp weapon — their body is resilient to blunt force but can be easily torn with anything sharp. Festa is often willing to help wanderers out if any hostile entities are nearby, but soliciting this help is somewhat of a risk as when they are caught up in the heat of the fight they have shown a habit of hurting the people they were helping.

Behaviors:

As implied by their appearance, Festa is bubbly, naive, and cheerful. They are often seen seeking out wanderers or exploring groups to talk or "play" with. Said "playing" often devolves into emotional breakdowns after losing or increased violence as their games continue. Festa has a preference for choosing games associated with parties and celebrations, including their own takes on such games. They often choose games such as Musical Chairs or Charades.

Do not agree to play any game with a name similar to "Balloon Toss"2 or "Capture the Flag". These games lead to casualties in most cases, unlike the others.

Talking to Festa can result in valuable information about the area or confusing tidbits of unrelated events. Please contact the M.E.G. if you receive any such information. Recorded quotes of interest are listed below.

Festa will repeatedly underestimate their own strength, leading to injury of others. It is heavily advised to avoid physical contact with Festa such as hugs for this reason. They are also shown to be rather spiteful of wanderers if they "brag" about winning their games.

Biology:

As stated previously, Festa seems to be made of materials resembling nylon and vinyl fabric.3 The insides are reported to be filled exclusively with an unidentified fog-like gas that will leak out if Festa is cut or torn.

Inhalation of the gas has been known to cause multiple effects, which vary greatly. Some more frequent side effects are dizziness, shortness of breath, hallucinations, and mania. In one less common case, the voice of an agent who wishes to remain anonymous was permanently made higher-pitched.

Discovery:

Though multiple unconfirmed sightings of an entity resembling Festa trace back as far as 4 years ago, the first confirmed sighting was reported on April 21, 2021, on Level 109 by an M.E.G. team. The encounter was recorded by one of the team members.

Additional information:

Most of the information on this document has come from wanderer testimony and Festa themselves in the case of recorded conversations.
After the first few audio recordings of Festa's encounters and conversations getting disrupted by static, we have elected to henceforth document all further information by text or handwritten pages. For example, this is the reason why the initial discovery video of the entity has been deemed too distorted to include in this article.

Previously observed distortions include:

  1. Visual flickering.
  2. Footage being replaced afterward by videos of popping balloons, traffic lights, and/or footage recorded by an unidentified person hiking in a forest.
  3. Multiple eyes appearing on frames where Festa is present.
  4. Photos having street lamps, trees, or human mouths placed over where Festa is shown
  5. Videos having red or blue lights appear despite no such presence being reported or seen.

Do's and Don'ts:

Do:

  • Stay away if not noticed
  • Play games if invited
  • Leave as quickly as you can without alerting Festa
  • Avoid physical confrontation

Don't:

  • Offend or insult Festa
  • Agree to play "Balloon Toss" or "Capture the Flag"
  • Brag about winnings or complain harshly at losing
  • Let Festa hug you or otherwise touch you
  • Purposefully start a fight

[[/footnote]] The insides are reported to be filled exclusively with an unidentified fog-like gas that will leak out if Festa is cut or torn.

If you encounter Festa with a torn appendage or cuts, please try to wrap them with spare fabric, tape, or bandages if needed. Leaving cuts open for extended periods of time can cause increased aggression and uncooperative behavior.

Inhalation of the gas has been known to cause multiple effects, which vary greatly. Some more frequent side effects are dizziness, shortness of breath, hallucinations, and mania. In one less common case, the voice of an agent who wishes to remain anonymous was permanently made higher-pitched.
