Berry's Berceuse
Although we may be apart,
your love and care is in my heart.
Despite my unexpected leave,
Don't lose hope nor grieve.
Even though I'm not alone,
I'd prefer to be with you in our home.
I miss the window in which I laid,
and amongst the shelves where I played.
The food I get is hard and dry,
but I'll still be looking for you in the sky.
This message may never see you,
but I hope to reunite with who,
kept me safe and away from the dark,
and keeping me happy as a lark.
Although we may be apart,
I promise I will never depart.
