After weeks of walking, I collapse face down on the ground, knowing these are my last hours. As the stars stare at me, I barely find the strength to turn myself on my back. They blink in approval, but something is ominous in their glow.
I turn my gaze skyward and a dumb smile runs through my face. I think of you. The way I've missed everything about you in these years. The stars say everything's gonna be fine, but I don't know if they're telling the truth. Still, I can't stop smiling.
I'm so glad I get to die with you in my mind.
